It's really hard to understand how lousy our American carriers are until you fly on a foreign carrier.

Better seats to start with... ANA's 787 Dreamliner has a 1-2-1 staggered layout in business class. If you have a window seat, no one will be sitting next to you or directly in front or behind.




One of my favorite things about Asian airlines in premium cabins are the complimentary pajamas. Put your clothes away for the trip and relax in these.



And my number one drink: a glass of iced green tea.
